The Journal of Liver Transplantation is a peer-reviewed, gold open-access, online-only publication focused on liver transplantation and related areas of research. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including clinical and experimental liver transplantation, combined liver and other organ transplantation, and cell and gene therapy in liver diseases. It also pays special attention to the management of patients with severe liver diseases, whether they are awaiting liver transplantation or not. This includes topics such as critical care in the ICU, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), and replacement procedures like Molecular Adsorbent Recirculating System (MARS) and hemodialysis. The journal accepts various types of articles, including original research papers, reviews, seminars, meta-analyses, case reports, viewpoints, and letters.
