For generations, pathology knowledge is transferred by our dedicated teachers on multihead microscopes diligently pointing out features on the slide that help formulate a differential diagnosis and approach to pathologic classification. However, this pedagogical method is limited to a small number of local students that can sit around a microscope. The purpose of writing yet another book on dermatopathology was to simulate this method of learning for readers who do not have the benefit of having spectacular teachers patiently doing the same. The book is unique, as it not only straight away presents the most characteristic clinical and histological features for every diagnosis, it also allows the readers to scan QR codes that link to whole slide annotated images In the current technologically advanced world, mobile devices are ubiquitous and work even in remote locations. This technology bridges the educational divide and allows readers worldwide to directly open and interact with the whole slide images as if they are sitting across from an esteemed faculty at the multiheaded microscope. The purpose of these books has not only been to be a great resource, but to ensure it feels and functions like a 21st century book that uses modern technology to enhance the reader’s experience. We have tried our best to ensure that it becomes a useful and handy resource for pathology and dermatology trainees as well as practicing pathologists, especially those that have not gone through a dermatopathology fellowships. Recent updates from literature have been included to ensure it is also useful for practicing dermatopathologists.
