The journal publishes content related to diseases, injuries, and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws, and the hard and soft tissues of the mouth and face region. It covers topics such as the diagnosis and medical management of orofacial tissue-specific diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, identifying populations at risk of oral diseases, and comparing dental care between different populations in terms of regional, environmental, social, and access factors.
Additionally, JOBCR focuses on diseases of the mouth and related structures including salivary glands, temporomandibular joints, facial muscles, and perioral skin. The journal also welcomes articles on biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, and stem cell research related to the field of oral biology and craniofacial studies.
The types of articles published in JOBCR include reviews, commentaries, peer-reviewed original research articles, short communications, and case reports. By offering a diverse range of content, JOBCR aims to foster the exchange of knowledge and advancements in the field of oral biology and craniofacial research, benefiting researchers, clinicians, and professionals in the field.
