EJC Skin Cancer: Volume 1
The European Journal of Cancer – Skin Cancer is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal that publishes on all aspects of skin cancer.
We are especially interested in receiving manuscripts centred on the fields of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC), including basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), as well as rarer forms of NMSC such as cutaneous lymphoma, Merkel cell carcinoma or cutaneous sarcoma. The journal encourages the submission of original research articles and review articles, as well as Current Perspectives focussed on screening, prevention, early detection including dermatoscopy, diagnosis, diagnostic procedures, pathology and treatment of all kind of skin malignancies.
Submission of preclinical and clinical trials as well as case reports are also welcome.
Specific areas of interest include:
- Pathology and staging
- Prognostic indicators and biomarkers
- Mechanisms of carcinogenesis, progression and metastasis
- Resistance and sensitivity to therapy
- Epidemiology of skin cancer
- Therapeutic approaches and drug development of various modalities (targeted therapy, immunotherapies, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, combination therapies)
- Metaanalyses
- AI-based approaches of screening, detection and diagnosis
- Case Reports should include correlative data and expand the current knowledge on the pathophysiological and clinical manifestations of cancer while discussing the cellular and molecular levels of the disease.
