About the Continuing Medical Education (CME) teaching endeavor:
This extensive CME activity serves as a practical discussion of the various methods of gastrointestinal imaging, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear medicine, and PET. It covers the fundamental principles, protocols, emerging technologies, and essential knowledge regarding the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases. The activity not only involves imaging procedures, but also provides a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental pathology of the GI system, this enables participants to connect the characteristics of disease with the imaging results.
Target audience:
The primary intended audience for this CME activity is comprised of diagnostic imaging physicians and pathologists who seek to increase their knowledge of the association between imaging and intestinal diseases. Other physicians who frequently request these investigations can also take advantage of the program, as it provides information about the benefits and drawbacks of imaging and pathology studies.
