About This CME Teaching Activity This CME teaching activity provides practical, timely, clinical information in musculoskeletal MRI. Pertinent lectures provide the most up-to-date clinical information. Tips and techniques to accurate imaging of the joints and spine are stressed, as well as common soft tissue and sports injuries. The faculty members have been chosen for their teaching ability, as well as their expertise in MRI. Target Audience This CME teaching activity is designed to educate radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, sports medicine physicians, and referring physicians who order musculoskeletal MRI studies. Educational Objectives At the completion of this CME teaching series, you should be able to: Incorporate state of the art pulse sequences and protocols for a variety of musculoskeletal MRI procedures into clinical practice. Recognize the strengths and limitations of MRI for the management of sports related injuries. Describe the MRI appearance of common musculoskeletal pathology and differentiate this pathology from other causes of abnormal signal. Utilize MRI to evaluate spondyloarthropathies and osteochondral lesions.
